Monique’s current training, research interest and career goals can serve to assist families, impacted by ASD in identifying and acquiring support services. She considers that as marriage and family therapy focuses on the systemic implications of mental health conditions, that the field is ideally suited to provide culturally competent quality of care for families impacted by ASD. Monique hopes that her efforts can serve as a model for how marriage and family therapists can best address the needs of families and their ASD children. Her 13 years of experience and studies have demonstrated that children with ASD and their families have unique needs and challenges that could benefit from psychotherapy support. His energetic nature and compassionate attitude towards the needs of the families and children has been a vital tool in his work ethic and clinical approach, coupled with his Masters of Science in Counseling (Marriage Family Therapy).
Mr. Chudabala has made it his goal to promote parent involvement as much as possible to aide in generalizing the child’s skills. A hallmark of Verbal Behavior is that a natural tone and naturalistic teaching structure is utilized to create a type of learning that has momentum and fun for the child. This type of freedom to teach in a loose structured format has paired perfectly with Mr. Chudabala’s personality and vision of success.
Mr. Chudabala continues to be an asset to Creative Solutions for Hope by delivering quality supervision and quality assurance/intense training to all those therapists working within this groundbreaking company.
“Once a therapist, always a therapist. I have never stopped doing therapy, because once you stop, you forget what it’s like to be connected to the source. Isn’t the relationship what it’s all about?”
